The biennial COSPAR Scientific Assembly is a must in the global space research calendar and is the most important event for the COSPAR community and wider space science sector.

This is where leading scientists, researchers, space agencies, major industry players and stakeholders meet to network, exchange ideas, and start cooperation

It is the perfect opportunity to discuss the latest findings in space research, as well as the next decade’s future plans. In short, it is a true forum, open to all scientists, to promote at an international level discussion of any issues affecting scientific space research.

During the Assembly key figures such as representatives of the 48 National Members, the 13 international Scientific Union and the 23 Chairs of the Scientific Commissions, Panels and Task Groups take part in the Council meeting or other discussions to decide the future of COSPAR.

Roundtables, panel events, the many scientific sessions and lectures, are the Scientific Assembly core, and there are plenty of opportunities to network – and gain visibility – during the coffee breaks, breakfasts, business meetings and cocktail events organized at the Fortezza da Basso meeting location in the city center during an exciting nine days of events.
