A conversation with Prof. Marica Branchesi, full professor at the Gran Sasso Science Institute and one of the world’s leading experts in gravitational-wave astrophysics. She played a pivotal role in the discovery of the electromagnetic counterpart to the GW170817 event resulting from the merger of two neutron stars, a landmark achievement that marked the beginning of the era of multi-messenger astrophysics.
